ONGOING SERIES

Parker Girls

Tambi Baker and her elite ring of spies take down a tech billionaire one scandal at a time — the Strangers in Paradise crime saga's ten-issue spinoff.

📖 Abstract Studio • Started 2023

When the body of beloved actress Annie Graham washes up on Venice Beach, the police call it an accident. Her husband — a ruthless tech billionaire with the best lawyers money can buy — walks free, and the investigation stalls. But Annie was one of theirs. And the Parker Girls don’t forget their own.

The story

Parker Girls spins directly out of the criminal underworld that lurked in the shadows of Strangers in Paradise. For decades, the Parker organization — run by the terrifying Darcy Parker, then by Katchoo’s scarred and scheming half-sister Tambi Baker — trained elite female operatives to seduce, spy on, manipulate, and if necessary kill the powerful. Now Tambi decides to take matters into her own hands, enlisting her finest operatives to tear down the Lot Empire one shocking scandal at a time, and later waging a private war to stop tech billionaire Zackary May’s “Deadlight Proposal” — a plan to seize control of the world’s satellites and remake global power from orbit.

It’s a crime thriller packed with the double-crosses, sharp dialogue, and morally complicated women that are Terry Moore’s specialty — a story where the spies we met as villains in Strangers in Paradise finally get to be the heroes, and where Katchoo, settling into family life, is dragged back into the life she escaped.

Publication history

Announced in May 2022 as a spinoff of the Darcy Parker story arc, Parker Girls ran ten issues from August 2022 to September 2023 through Abstract Studio, collected into two volumes — Dead Quiet and Deadlight — and a complete softcover omnibus. It continues the shared Terryverse that connects Strangers in Paradise, Echo, Rachel Rising, Motor Girl, and Five Years, keeping the saga alive for a new generation of readers.

Perfect for fans of La Femme Nikita, the heist-caper energy of Leverage, and the spy-game soap opera of Alias.
