Patrick Buermeyer is an illustrator, comic artist, and designer living and working in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Oregon State University in 2015, he pursued his passion for storytelling through visual art, working with both traditional and digital media to create dynamic, expressive illustrations.

His artistic style focuses on depicting people and telling stories about them through the “subtle simplification, abstraction and exaggeration of cartoon realism.” He strives to show rather than tell stories about all of us using a visual language of mood, movement, tension and expression.

Patrick’s comic work includes line art and coloring for Discordia (Dark Tidings Press), a sci-fi horror noir series published 2020-2021, Rotted Lyre and Apocrypha (2019), and Granite State Punk (Orange Cone Productions and Scout Comics, 2021), a gritty look at witches, addiction, and punk rock in New Hampshire.

He has contributed to the Cthulhu Invades anthology series from Orange Cone Productions, including Cthulhu Invades Wonderland and Cthulhu Invades Neverland, which put a Lovecraftian horror spin on classic fairy tales and Peter Pan. He also contributed to Holiday Spirits 3, the horror anthology featuring twisted Christmas tales.
