Every fantasy epic ends with a war. But what happens when the war is over? After posing as a man to join the army, Jenner Faulds returns home to The Feld for a new start as a “Fairman”—a specially licensed private investigator. But sexism didn’t end on the battlefield, and as the only “Fairlady,” Jenner gets stuck with the cases nobody else wants.

Hitting the streets to solve The Feld’s overlooked mysteries, Jenner finds that the smallest cases hide the biggest secrets. The kingdom is a city built within the remains of a giant mechanical warrior from an advanced civilization lost to time, and former soldiers have become freelance private investigators—except Jenner is the first woman to join their ranks.

Created by writer Brian Schirmer and artist Claudia Balboni, with colors by Marissa Louise, Fairlady blends procedural case-solving with high fantasy. The series features a noir tone in a post-war world, described by its creators as “a gender-swapped Magnum, P.I. in a post-War-of-the-Ring world.”
