Kamthology is a manga-esque collection of seven standalone short comics, each designed to deliver a complete narrative experience in just a few pages. Created by Kamilah Wong (also known as KamThings), this anthology spans genres from fantasy to horror, mystery to adventure—never knowing what twist awaits around the next panel.
The collection features 92 pages of content, split between vibrant full-color comics and striking black-and-white manga-style stories. True to its manga inspiration, once you reach the black-and-white pages, the reading direction flips to right-to-left—start from the back cover for the authentic manga experience. The Kickstarter-exclusive edition features a stunning gold-foil cover and a signed interior.
Each standalone story in Kamthology is crafted with the twist in mind. Wong employs the Japanese storytelling structure of Kishōtenketsu (起承転結), with particular emphasis on the ten—the twist—centering the entire volume around the theme of dreams. Whether it’s a fantasy quest that takes an unexpected turn or a horror tale with a chilling revelation, readers are guaranteed fresh takes on familiar tropes. The mature themes and dark shōjo aesthetic give the collection an emotional weight that lingers.
The digital edition is available on itch.io, and a physical print edition can be ordered through Merry Manga Co. Wong is also working on Kamthology Vol. 2, currently funding on Kickstarter. You can follow her work on Webtoon, Tapas, and Patreon.
Perfect for fans of anthology comics, manga, and stories that keep you guessing until the very last panel.
