Kamilah Wong
SCAD-trained comic artist and writer crafting stories of second chances, family secrets, and psychological twists.
Kamilah Wong brings a unique voice to the indie comics scene, trained at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Sequential Art and a minor in Storyboarding. Her work defies easy categorization—she’ll pull you into a fantasy romance with reincarnation themes, then immediately unsettle you with a psychological horror short that hits harder than expected.
As a creator who writes and illustrates her own work, Kamilah maintains complete creative control over her stories. Her graphic novel Storge explores the suffocating weight of familial duty and the darkness that festers beneath a veneer of harmony, while her webcomic Once Again! takes readers on an emotional journey through time loops and royal intrigue. Her Kamthology anthology showcases her versatility with standalone shorts built around twist endings.
Beyond her independent work, Kamilah contributes her artistic talents to the wider comics community, including her story “Girl in the Shadows” in the We Suck at Comics anthology. She continues to build her presence in the digital comics space while working as a freelance artist for Webtoon.
Their work includes once-again, storge, kamthology, and We Suck at Comics: Volume 1 - Rejection.
