Created by Backroom Comics, this series explores themes of visibility, self-discovery, and the struggle to find your place in the world when you can literally disappear.
The Story
Specter follows a superpowered young adult who desperately wants to be seen and acknowledged by others. However, he possesses a unique supernatural ability: the power to become unseen and invisible at will.
This creates an internal conflict - the very power that sets him apart also isolates him from the world he wants to connect with. The series explores his journey to understand his abilities and find his place in a world where he can literally disappear.
Backroom Comics
Specter is one of Backroom Comics’ first two series, launched alongside Centurion. The team, comprised of friends from high school, aims to create stories with humor, heart, and quality storytelling.
