Ronda Pattison
Eisner-nominated colorist known for Atomic Robo and work across Marvel, IDW, and more through RSquared Studios.
Ronda Pattison has been bringing color to comic pages for over a decade, earning particular recognition as the colorist for Atomic Robo, the Eisner Award-nominated series she partners on with writer Brian Clevinger and artist Scott Wegener. For her work on the first Atomic Robo volume, Pattison was nominated for Best Coloring at the 2008 Eisner Awards.
Through her work with RSquared Studios—her partnership with colorist Brian Roe—Pattison has colored an impressive range of titles across the comic industry. Her credits span major publishers and properties including Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Wolverine, Fallen Angel and Angel for Peter David, Godzilla, My Little Pony, and Batman/The Maxx. This versatility showcases her ability to adapt her color palette and style to match different genres and tones.
The Atomic Robo series particularly showcased Pattison’s strengths in combining bold, saturated colors with atmospheric lighting that matched the series’ blend of pulp adventure and comedy. Her colors helped define the visual tone of the series, with reviewers noting how her work “perfectly sets the tone of the series” (IGN).
Beyond coloring, Pattison has also co-created original work with Brian Roe, including the webcomic Yva Starling: Troubleshooter and the Zombie Plague board game and comic. She maintains an active presence on Twitter at @rleep.
Perfect for fans of colorists who can shift between genres while maintaining a distinctive visual voice, similar to work by Dave Stewart or Jordie Bellaire.
