The Great Command Meant is an award-winning anthology comic that explores the essence of commands in society. From “Love your neighbor as yourself” to “We the People, in order to form a more perfect Union” to “Live long and prosper,” this anthology challenges creators to find, examine, and reinterpret the commands that shape our world.
The Concept
Since time immemorial, commands have been at the bedrock of society. Words that transcend ideas and become the motivation to action. But what is the essence of a command? What does it mean? What could it mean? What should it mean?
Creator and editor Jack Holder set forth a challenge for creators: find those commands they have seen in society, and try to explain them, challenge them, and fulfill them.
