Alex Sanchez is a New York City-based comic book artist and a graduate of the Joe Kubert School, whose work spans some of the biggest names in comics. He has drawn for DC, Marvel, IDW, and Dark Horse on titles like Katana, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and The Hulk — a career that has also taken him into toy design and storyboarding.
More recently, Sanchez has become a key visual force at Mad Cave Studios, where he brings the claustrophobic deep-sea horror of Crush Depth to visceral life. The 2025 horror thriller from writers Tim Daniel and David DB Andry follows Chief Science Officer Liana Pearson aboard the submersible research vessel Absolution as a transformative alien organism picked up from the seafloor’s thermal vents begins unraveling the crew.
