Andy Owens
Veteran comic inker with 20 years of credits across DC's Batman and Nightwing, Marvel's X-Men, and Dark Horse's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Tomb Raider.
Andy Owens is one of the most quietly prolific inkers in mainstream comics—a 20-year veteran whose finish work has appeared on some of the biggest books at DC, Marvel, and Dark Horse.
Owens spent more than a decade inking Scott McDaniel on the Batman family of titles, including Nightwing and Batman itself, and his DC credits also span Superman and Green Arrow. For Marvel he has inked X-Men, Wolverine, and Uncanny Inhumans, and for Dark Horse he has worked on Conan, Hellboy, and a long run on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His Tomb Raider work came on the later issues of the 2014 series—penciled by Derlis Santacruz for writer Rhianna Pratchett, colored by Michael Atiyeh, and collected in the Tomb Raider Omnibus Volume 1. His steady, sure-handed inks kept Lara’s world razor sharp through the Secrets and Lies arc and beyond—read the full run on Tomb Raider.
He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and three children. Perfect for fans of classic, clean mainstream inking. Follow his work on Twitter as @andyowensart.
