Carola Borelli’s journey into comics began in southern Italy, where she grew up before moving to Rome to pursue higher education. She earned both a degree in Architecture and a diploma in comics, combining her technical precision with artistic storytelling.
Her professional comics career began with Italian publisher Manfont, working on titles like Yamazaki: 28 years old and Apocrypha. She then collaborated with various Italian independent publishers before expanding to American markets in 2019.
In the United States, Carola worked with Space Between Entertainment on series including Destiny NY vol. 3, Vampire Emmy, and Prison Witch. She also served as an assistant artist at IDW on Star Trek projects.
Her breakthrough came with The Deadliest Bouquet, her first work for Image Comics in 2022. The series, written by Erica Schultz, showcased her ability to blend dramatic storytelling with dynamic artwork.
