In 1998, three estranged sisters—Rose, Poppy, and Violet Hawthorn—were trained by their mother Jasmine in the art of espionage. Jasmine was a hard-edged Nazi hunter who made plenty of enemies over the years. When she’s finally murdered in her flower shop, Les Trois Fleurs, her three daughters must reunite for the first time in years to solve her murder.
The story begins the morning after Valentine’s Day, when Poppy awakens to a phone call from her sister Rose. Their mother has been found dead. As the police investigate the crime scene—including a mysterious tattoo on Jasmine’s hand—the sisters must cope with their grief while navigating the dangerous world of their mother’s past.
What follows is a tense murder mystery that explores themes of family, betrayal, and the secrets that bind us together. The Hawthorn sisters quickly discover that their mother had many enemies—people who would happily kill again to keep certain secrets buried. As they dig deeper into Jasmine’s past, they must learn to trust each other despite years of estrangement—or risk becoming the next victims.
