Cathy Le is a Vietnamese-American comic artist, illustrator, and colorist whose bright, expressive style has made her a go-to collaborator across the industry. She’s colored Big Ethel Energy for Archie Comics, worked on Clueless: One Last Summer and Ghosted in L.A. for BOOM! Studios, and provided covers for Adventure Time, Harley Quinn in Paradise, and Monster High: World’s Scare. She’s also the co-creator of Root Bound, a cozy fantasy comic she makes with writer Siobhan Noel Keenan.
In the Critical Role universe, Le colored two volumes of Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins: Jester Lavorre and Mollymauk Tealeaf — the two most colorful characters in the entire Mighty Nein, and a perfect match for her palette. Her work brings the sweetness of Jester’s seaside childhood and the flamboyant chaos of Mollymauk’s carnival life to full, vibrant life for Dark Horse Comics.
Le is based in Southern California, where she works across comics, illustration, and cover art. You can find her portfolio at diastrons.com and follow her on Twitter. If you love comics that radiate warmth and color — or you just need more purple tieflings in your life — Cathy Le is a creator worth following.
