Ellie Wright has emerged as one of the most celebrated colourists in contemporary comics, earning the Ringo Award for Favorite New Talent in 2023 and the Tripwire Award for Best Colourist in 2024. Born in Cornwall but now based in Cork, Ireland, her journey from aspiring artist to industry award-winner has been marked by exceptional work that brings depth and vibrancy to every page.
Her client roster reads like a who’s who of comics publishing: Dynamite Entertainment, Disney, DC Comics, Image Comics, Archie Comics, IDW Publishing, Mad Cave Studios, Vault Comics, Oni Press, BOOM! Studios, and Skybound all count on her colour work to bring their stories to life.
Among her notable credits are high-profile projects including Immortal Red Sonja, Vampirella vs. The Superpowers, Bettie Page: Unbound, and Disney Villains: Cruella De Vil for Dynamite. For IDW, she’s coloured Transformers: Beast Wars and various Star Trek projects.
