George O’Connor is a prolific Boston-based comic creator who has made a name for himself in the indie comics scene through Homeless Comics. His work spans multiple genres, but he’s best known for blending sci-fi, horror, and dark comedy into action-packed narratives.

His works include Vampires on Mars (a 4-issue series about a 300-year-old vampire helping a billionaire get to Mars), Charlie’s Spot, Healed, Baby, and Silent Knight. Each project showcases his ability to take high-concept premises and ground them with relatable human (and inhuman) characters.

Beyond comics, George is a multi-talented creator involved in Boston’s film community, where he’s helped create over sixty short films. He’s also the head writer and co-creator of the podcast Phone Hugs & Therapy, and plays guitar in his heavy metal band Swarm of Eyes.

His newsletter, Figuring it Out on the Fly, explores the creative process with the belief that “no one really knows anything, and that’s okay”—sharing monthly insights about his creative journey, behind-the-scenes project updates, and occasional free songs for subscribers.
