Jorge Santiago Jr.

Ringo Award-nominated comic artist and professor known for Final Gamble and Spencer & Locke.

Jorge Santiago Jr. creates comics with what he describes as “stupid amounts of passion”—and the comics industry has taken notice. The Ringo Award-nominated artist has built a career on delivering dynamic, emotionally resonant artwork across multiple genres.

Currently, Jorge serves as Part Time Assistant Professor of Sequential Art & Animation at Kennesaw State University (2020 to present), where he helps shape the next generation of comic artists. His professional accolades include Ringo Award nominations in 2019 for Best Cover Artist and Best Series for Spencer & Locke vol. 1, and a 2020 nomination for Best Single Issue for Spencer & Locke vol. 2 issue 1.

His webcomic Curse of the Eel reached over 1 million views and 107 thousand likes on Tapas, demonstrating his ability to connect with audiences online. His queer dark fantasy romance comic Honor Bound saw its first print run sell out completely.

For Final Gamble, Jorge brought his signature dynamic art style to this dark thriller about gambling addict Danny Lin and disgraced MMA fighter Jasmeet Khanna. His artwork captures the stark contrast between the cold, calculated world of The Mercury Society and the desperate humanity of the protagonists’ struggle for survival.

Perfect for fans of dynamic, expressive artwork in thriller and horror comics, Jorge’s work combines action-packed sequences with emotionally charged character moments.
