Robyn Singer
New York-based sci-fi and comics writer known for Final Gamble and The Sunrisers.
Robyn Singer has been telling stories since childhood, when she first started playing with action figures and imagining entire worlds. A graduate of SUNY Purchase with a degree in Playwriting & Screenwriting and a minor in Film, Robyn has always been drawn to narrative formats that blend visual and written storytelling.
As an autistic, bisexual trans woman, Robyn brings a unique perspective to her work, prioritizing diverse representation while also drawing inspiration from real-world problems that bother her. She believes in showing characters from marginalized groups experiencing joy, not just struggle—while not shying away from the complexities of real life.
Her debut novel, The Sunrisers, was published by Cinnabar Moth Literary Collection in 2022—a lesbian space opera that showcases her talent for building expansive, inclusive science fiction worlds. She followed this with The Order of the Banshee, book two in The Ricochet Trilogy.
Robyn’s ongoing comic book series, Final Gamble, began publication by Band of Bards in 2022. The thriller follows gambling addict Danny Lin and disgraced MMA fighter Jasmeet Khanna as they become prisoners of The Mercury Society—a group of the world’s richest and most powerful people. The series explores themes of wealth inequality, survival, and solidarity.
She was the author in residence for the first quarter of 2022 for Cinnabar Moth Literary Collections and continues to write novels, short stories, and comics for all ages. Perfect for fans of inclusive science fiction, thriller comics, and stories about underdogs fighting against impossible odds.
