Chris "Doc" Wyatt

Also known as: Chris Wyatt, Doc Wyatt, Christopher Aaron Wyatt

Emmy-nominated animation writer, producer, and Napoleon Dynamite producer who writes for Critical Role's Legend of Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein Origins comics.

📍 Los Angeles, CA

Chris “Doc” Wyatt’s career reads like a map of every animated show you’ve ever loved. He produced the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite, then spent two decades as one of animation’s most prolific writer-producers. He and his writing partner Kevin Burke have written more than 200 scripts together — for Iron Man: Armored Adventures, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Ultimate Spider-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and Star Wars Resistance — and were Emmy-nominated for their work on Marvel’s Rocket & Groot.

Beyond Marvel and Star Wars, the duo have been architects of kids’ animation for the streamers: developing Stretch Armstrong & the Flex Fighters for Netflix, executive producing Robert Kirkman’s Super Dinosaur for Amazon, and showrunning Transformers: BotBots. Most recently they serve as lead writers on Ninjago: Dragons Rising — and they’re writers on Amazon’s hit adaptation of Critical Role’s The Legend of Vox Machina.

Wyatt also crosses into comics: he and Burke wrote IDW’s Star Wars Adventures and the Stretch Armstrong tie-in, Wyatt authored the all-ages graphic novel Alien Bones, and the pair co-wrote Fjord Stone for Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins, bringing the half-orc sailor’s orphanage-to-ocean origin to life with artist Selina Espiritu.

Perfect for fans of all-ages adventure, Marvel and Star Wars animation, and the storytellers behind your favorite Saturday-morning (and streaming) cartoons.
