Diana Sousa

Diana Sousa is one of the most in-demand colorists working in licensed comics today — and one of the few whose name gets called out in the same sentence as “Eisner nomination.” In 2023 she was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best Coloring for her work across the Critical Role comics line, covering Vox Machina Origins and four volumes of The Mighty Nein Origins — Caleb Widogast, Yasha Nydoorin, Fjord Stone, and Beauregard Lionett — for Dark Horse Comics.

Based in Portugal, Sousa has colored comics set in some of the most beloved universes in pop culture: Critical Role, The Legend of Korra, Stranger Things, and Star Wars. Her publisher list reads like a who’s-who — Dark Horse, IDW, Image, Simon & Schuster, Mad Cave Studios, and Hyperion — and she’s also a graphic designer and speculative fiction writer who has contributed to Dungeons & Dragons campaign books.
